More Prep and a week to go

So I feel like a put out a bit too much when it came to my ramblings post the other day. Some folks will have context, and others won’t. It doesn’t much matter, this is suppose to be about my AT Thru-hike anyhow. I have less than one week to go, and I have a sizable to do list to check off before I set out. At the moment my thoughts have been on food. I won’t be eating like a King out there on the trail, but I definitely feel like I have been the last few days.

  • Thursday- Texas Roadhouse Steak Dinner (Burned up a few Xmas gift cards, thanks Cooper)
  • Friday- Brick House Double Burger and Tots (Thanks Tom & Lynn)
  • Saturday- Chinese Takeout (Great Idea Tara)
  • Sunday- Bonnie and Clyde’s Pizza (Thanks Family for coming out)

I got food on the brain knowing that soon I won’t be able to get whatever I want whenever. I think eating on the trail is going to be one of the biggest trial by fire lessons. You never wanna pack too much, and at the some time you don’t want to run out.

As far as gear goes, I still need to go into more detail of my items on this site. There’s only one item I’m missing and that’s rain pants. The brand and style I’m after must be popular. It will probably be in stock in 2-3 weeks, so I’ll have to get along with out them for now.

Other goals for this site:

  • GOAT Podcast (Griff On the A T)
  • Pics and video posts
  • Tara’s experience on the homestead
  • GPS Tracking
